The Calls were early settlers in Jefferson County. The patriach, Alexander Call was a Revolutionary War Veteran. They had a very large family with many members buried at Pine Grove in Hammondsville including David Call and his wife Catherine Buygher Poe who is a grand daughter of Adam Poe who battled the Indian BigFoot and is somewhat of a local legend in Wayne County. An original copy of the Call Family History book is in the library in Steubenville. I was sent the 2nd document from the Jefferson County Historical Society I believe.
