This cemetery was read by Mrs. David L. Boyd. This cemetery is located on the old homestead of Jonathan and Mary Hook.
The grave registration index card at the Jefferson County Courthouse lists; Jonathan’s death year as 1866, buried Row 1, Grave #3 at the Hook’s Farm [Private], Cross Creek Twp. He is listed as serving in the War of 1812 with the 126th Maryland Infantry as a private.
