"Grand mother Murray is Dead”

{Exactly as it appears in The Steubenville Weekly Herald, October 25, 1862.}Last night, at 11 o’clock, Mrs. Ann Murray, more generally known as “grandmother” Murry, departed this life, in the 96th year of her age. She was sorely afflected for many years, blind and helpless, yet she bore her suffering with great fortitude – never complained, but always expressed a desire, when it was her good Master’s will, to go. She belonged to the Society of Friends, who were very kind and attentive to her in her illness. She was highly respected and greatly loved, and her memory will be enshrined in the bosoms of all who knew her.

The funeral will take place from her late residence, High Street, to morrow afternoon, at 2 o’clock. The friends and public are invited to attend.
