Arthur/Antonio Bellomo married Louise De Angela.  Louise was born in 1854 and died in 1920 and is buried in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Steubenville, Ohio. They had two children. Their son was named Arturo/Arthur. He was born in 1876 and died in 1932 and is buried in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Steubenville, Ohio.

Louise Di Mattia was born in 1887/8 and died in 1916. She is buried in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Steubenville, Ohio. She married Arturo/Arthur Bellomo (her step brother) and they had four children:

  • Louise married Tom DeSantis (they had five children)
  • Lula (details listed below)
  • Arthur married Stella Rehanek (they had one son, Richard, not married)
  • Albert (never married and no children)

Lula Bellomo was born on October 18, 1909 in Steubenville, Jefferson County, Ohio. Her father and mother are listed shown on her certified copy of her birth record dated August 10, 1960, #8184, pg. 95, record of births vol #34. (Her daughter, Teresa said that her mother was born in 1908 and not on October 18th)

Lula married Alfred Panebianco and they had two children:

  • Louis
  • Teresa married George Zrinyi and they had four children (Cindy, Cheryl, George & Martin)

The Petition of Naturalization for Arthur Ballomo – Filed in the Common Pleas Court, Jefferson County, Ohio:
June 2, 1908- Place of Residence listed as 133 South 4th Street, Steubenville, Ohio. His occupation was a Confectioner. It's states that he was born on 3rd of December, 1876 in Chieti,(Pescara)Italy. He immigrated from Naples, Italy on 13th of June, 1902 and arrive at the Port of New York, New York on the Nord American. He applied on 19th March, 1904 in the Probate Court, Steubenville, Ohio. He states that his wife's name is Amleta De Mattia Bellomo and she was born in Spaltare, Italy (Spoltore, Pescara, Italy) and now resides in Steubenville, Ohio. Their children are listed as: Louise Bellomo, born April 4, 1907, at Steubenville Ohio and resides there. He renounces Victor Emmanuel III, King of Italy and states that he has resided 5 years since 27th July 1902 in Ohio and the date of the petition filing is 10th of July 1908. He signs the document on June 2nd, 1908 as “Arturo Bellomo.” Affidavit of Witnesses are: Vincent A. Moralli,banker and John Gentile, Saloon keeper, both of Steubenville, Ohio and they both signed the document on 2nd June, 1908. James White was the Clerk of Courts.

Order of Denying the Petition dated 11th January, 1910 for failure to appear in court. The petition was hereby denied.

Order of Court dated 23rd September 1910, presented by counsel, the former order of the court to dismiss the petition is resend and he is ordered to appear for with for examination. He was admitted by petition on 23rd of September, 1910.
Certificate #52278 states the following:
Arturo Bellomo age 34 petitioned filed on the 1st of June, 1908 in Vol 1 pg. 82. He names his wife, Amleta De Mattia Bellomo age 22, Steubenville, Ohio. Minor children as: Louise, 3 ½ yrs. Albert, 2 yrs, Lola, 11 months, all living in Steubenville, Ohio. Date of order September 23rd, 1910. (signed Arturo Bellomo).

Final Naturalization Certificate (copy issued to Arthur) Volume 1, pg 82, Sub Volume 3846, pg 28. He was 5'7” tall and his color was white complexion was medium light. His eyes were brown and his hair was brown. He had no distinguishing marks.

A birth record was found for Amleta Clotilde Di Mattia in Spoltore, Pescara, Italy from the original birth records, showing her birth 1 Jan, 1888. Her father's name listed on the “Italia, Pescara, Stato Civile (Arichvio di Stato) is Giuseppe Di Mattia. Database 1809-1929 images from FamilySearch.  A copy from the original is in possession of Teresa.

Marriage Records revealed that Arthur F. P. Bellomo and Amleta Di-Mattia were both born in Italy and her birth year is listed as 1888, and 18 years old on Oct 5, 1906. They were married in Jefferson County, Ohio. Her father's name on the marriage application is Joseph Di Mattia and her mother is listed as Maria Di Francesco. Arthur's parents are listed as Antonio Bellomo and Louise De Angela. Teresa has a copy of the marriage application from “Ohio Marriages, 1800-1958” from FamilySearch.

A Passenger's Arrival List (Ellis Island) was found for Amleta De Mattia listing 4 Dec 1905, at 17 years old and listing her last place of residence as Spoltore, Italy. She departed from Port Napoli and arriving in New York as a single women on the Ship Florida.  Found on FamilySearch and a copy is also in the possession of Teresa.

Amleta- Death/Burial - The Mount Calvary Cemetery, Steubenville, Ohio in the Saint Stanislaus Section, from “Find a Grave” #152249410, showing birth and death dates as “1887-1916.”

In the possession of Teresa Panebianco Zrinyi is the following documents (as of June 2016):

  • Certified Copy of Birth Record for Lula Bellomo
  • Petition for Naturalization for Arthur Bellomo (includes city where he and his wife were born)
  • Certificate of Naturalization
  • Naturalization Certificate #52278 for Arthur Bellomo
  • Copy of a Passport Application for Arturo Bellomo, birth 3 Dec 1876, Chieti, Pescara, Italy. When he applied he was 36 yrs and the passport was issued on 25 Jan 1913. He was a resident of Steubenville at the time of the application.  (more details including occupation, name of ship, etc are included on the application)
  • Draft Registration Card for US World War 1917-1918. Copy of the draft application in the possession of Teresa.
  • Federal Census for 1910, 1920 and 1930 – Arthur Belloms/Bellomo and family

Notes: The Panebianco Family came to America from Calabria, Italy in 1903.  They were Catholic and belonged to the Holy Name Cathedral Parish.
Caesar Panebianco  left 3 sisters and a brother in Italy. He died in 1952. He  married Lillian Pisarro in 1913 in Steubenville, Ohio. Lillian died in California but was buried in Mt. Calvary, Steubenville, Ohio.
