The National Archives - Revolutionary War Pension Files are now accessible from this online source and/or view original pension files as well as access additional military records. They are listed under Survivors, Widows, and Bounty-land Warrants. They are also available on microfilm in two series by the National Archives titled, Selected Records From Revolutionary War Pension and Bounty-land Warrant Application Files (898 rolls of film).
www.familysearch.org - University Microfilms, better known as UMI has been producing microfilm collections for many years now. UMI has published hundreds of thousands of rolls of film and fiche. They include Regimental Histories of the American Civil War. This is an extremely large collection of regimental histories from most states, including the Confederacy. This collection is available at the LDS Family History Library in Salt Lake City.
